Shipping & delivery

We ship Australia-wide from seven distribution centres. Freight is priced on the road distance from the centre nearest you, so the closer you are to stock, the less you pay.

Where your order ships from

Stock is held across seven distribution centres. Your order is matched to the nearest centre holding what you've bought, which is why the ships-from location is shown on every line in your cart — a two-product order can legitimately ship from two places.

  • Brisbane, QLD
  • Gold Coast, QLD
  • Townsville, QLD
  • Sydney, NSW
  • Melbourne, VIC
  • Adelaide, SA
  • Perth, WA

Where a line is partly in stock, the cart shows the split — what ships now and what is on backorder — before you pay, not after.

What freight costs

The exact figure depends on weight, dimensions and where you are, so we calculate it against your postcode at checkout rather than publishing a flat rate that would be wrong for most orders. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — there is no separate handling charge added later, and all prices on this site include GST.

Panels, batteries and inverters mostly travel as palletised freight rather than parcels. Unless you tell us at checkout that there is a forklift on site, we send a tail-lift truck and deliver kerbside: someone needs to be on site to receive it, and the driver is not able to carry goods into a building or onto a roof.

When we can't price it at checkout

For most addresses and orders the calculator returns a price. For some it can't — very remote destinations, unusually large consignments, or goods whose weight and dimensions we haven't captured yet.

When that happens the checkout tells you no delivery options are available for your address and asks you to get in touch, rather than guessing a figure or charging you one. From there we quote the freight to you in writing. Nothing is charged and nothing ships until you have accepted that quote, and there is no cost or obligation in asking.

How long it takes

Transit time is measured from dispatch, in business days, and depends on how far you are from the distribution centre your order ships from:

Distance from DCTypical transit
Within 100 km of the DC2–4 business days
100–300 km3–6 business days
300–600 km5–8 business days
600–1,000 km7–12 business days
Over 1,000 km10–18 business days

These are estimates, not guarantees. They exclude the time to pick and dispatch your order, and they can be affected by weather, carrier capacity and remote-area runs. If something is going to be materially later than this, we will tell you rather than let you wonder.

If your delivery runs late

If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated window, and the delay isn't one of the out-of-our-control circumstances listed in our terms of sale, you can cancel anything that hasn't been delivered and we refund it in full — including the delivery charge on it. There is no fee, and you don't have to accept a later date.

Where a delay genuinely is outside our control we will tell you promptly and give you a new expected date, and if your order hasn't been dispatched yet you can still cancel and be refunded in full. The circumstances that count, and the rest of the detail, are in our terms of sale.

Backorders

Where part of your order isn't in stock, you choose at checkout whether to ship what's available now and follow with the rest, or hold the whole order and ship it complete. We don't split an order without asking.

Receiving your delivery

Please check the goods on arrival where you reasonably can, and tell us promptly if anything is damaged — ideally within 7 days — so we can claim against the carrier. That is a request rather than a condition: telling us later does not reduce your rights, and the returns and warranty page sets out exactly what those are.
